Driving Safe in Different Conditions Training Program

The Safety Six 3 program is about you and what you can reasonably do to prevent crashes. The training program highlights a variety of safe driving techniques while operating in various light, weather, road and traffic conditions.

Scope: The 204 Light Equipment Training Course is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of newly appointed and experienced light vehicle operators.

(Light equipment 17,501 to 26,000 GVWR without air brakes)

The course objectives are to reduce unnecessary collisions and repair cost due to incorrect operations and improve fuel efficiency.

  • Diesel and Gas engine operation
  • Automatic and Manual transmission operation
  • Speed / weight / balance as they pertain to:
    • Uphill operation
    • Down hill operation
    • Following distance
    • Braking and stopping
    • Turns and curves
    • Road conditions
  • Six clearances

This TRANS 360 program is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of both the newly hired and experienced truck operator.
